About me

I am Assistant Professor of English at the American University of Beirut. My scholarly research focuses on lyric poetry and religious culture in the later Middle Ages. I’m working on turning my dissertation into a book, provisionally titled Liturgical Poetics: Middle English Lyric and the Arts of Worship.

I’ve taught writing and literature seminars at multiple institutions; I also taught on comparative religion at the University of Notre Dame. See my teaching page on this site for a description of recent courses.
